This is a complex question and would best answered in a research consultation. Feel free to contact a reference librarian to set up an appointment time.

In short, though, here are a few suggestions.

  • "On the Record" inside the United Nations website. Select China
  • Open search the United Nations website, which will lead you to press releases and select primary documents
  • Access UN for primary documents

News Sources (both can be found from "Databases" under the "Find it" tab from the library website):

  • LexisNexis
  • Newsbank

Video and Documentaries:

  • Films on Demand and the United Nations Multimedia channel. (Films on Demand is a streaming media source we subscribe to and there you will find several videos/documentaries relating to this topic.)
  • You will also find that the United Nations has a YouTube channel that you can search within.
